On my first attempt at importing images, I got a message saying I had to have a catalog open to complete the activity, a simple matter of going to File > New Catalog. It's odd that AfterShot's importing is so hard to find given how vocal Corel is about fast import speeds. Most other photo apps ease this process by finding the photos on a card automatically. What about importing from camera media? For that, you have to navigate through the SD card's folders to get started. In fact, you must navigate down to the File menu's ninth choice, Import Photos from Folder, to kick off an import.
